Do you imagine that the recent shift in legal opinion about abortion has changed anything? Don't be a fool. The work of Heaven is changing hearts, not changing laws. At the very minimum, we need a culture shift to indicate that hearts are turning away from sin.
If all you see is that a few innocent lives will be saved because abortion is a little more difficult, then you do not see. Yes, it's a good thing, but that's not the work of Heaven. The loopholes that allow abortions to continue are huge. No hearts have been changed by this Supreme Court ruling. Innocent lives will come and go; those who survive are still being born into one of the most evil nations in human history.
Pray with me.
Don't pray for a change in laws; pray for a change in hearts. The Code of Noah is not simply external force compelling men to obey. It is a call for a change in hearts. This is why the Covenant of Moses failed; it was the intransigence of the people. One of the primary lessons of the Old Testament is that laws cannot save souls. We want to see people coming to the Code of Noah by the drawing of the Spirit, not at the point of a gun.
We want to see the power of the Spirit. We want our hearts changed so that we can see what God has revealed as the way to live. Pray for the Spirit to fall. It doesn't take a lot of words. It requires only that you turn in your heart and listen to Him speak.
I hope this study in the Code of Noah spurred you to search the Word and your own convictions. It should have provoked a renewed fervor for obedience to the Lord. Our obedience is what the world needs, but we have been warned the world will take no interest, for the most part. As tribulation rises to the point of apocalypse, you should feel the calling to stronger faith and holiness, primarily because this is the essential nature of our witness.
Let's pray that this message will burn like fire and more people will be exposed to it. This is how we gain access to the inheritance of the gospel. The Kingdom of Heaven is an empire of hearts, not one of fleshly bodies under laws.
