We see the events of the secular world around us. Sure, the Lord allows us to understand it to some degree, so that we can take advantage of the situation to bring Him glory. We watch and we exploit the opportunities, but we have no direct interest in what happens in our world. We make no pretense of trying to steer what's going on. It runs by Satan's power and plans, and we who live the Covenant are not directly involved.
If you do get involved, you place yourself under the Devil's authority. That was part of the Wilderness Temptations Jesus endured; Satan was trying to get Jesus to operate under him. Take a cue from how Jesus answered those temptations. Keep your activities within the Covenant alone. Otherwise, you stand outside His covering and you are under His wrath. This world is slated for destruction, so don't get entangled.
Here is something most believers simply do not get: God works with us only within the boundaries of the Covenant. Everything outside the boundaries He turns over to Satan. This is why I insist the American political stuff is wholly under Satan's control. America was never a Covenant nation. Regardless of what secular political changes come, it is still the hand of Satan and still fits into his agenda.
This is why I insist that the recent Supreme Court decisions are not directly the work of God. Rolling back Roe v. Wade is a lie from Satan. It's another trick to get people to think something good is coming from the political situation, so that you won't stop and consider maybe you need the Covenant. You will only imagine it represents God's favor; it does not. The same goes with all the other decisions; they did not come directly from the hand of God. They all passed through Satan's hands. In that sense, it was not an answer to prayer.
You can ask God to move the political situations of the world all you want, but it's going to appear random whether He grants it. When He does grant something, it should not be counted as a blessing. Rather, it's one of those things He does inexplicably by giving orders to the Devil. The only reason He does it is because it also meets an indirect purpose for something within the Covenant boundaries. The thing itself is not the issue; it's Covenant purpose that matters.
There's nothing wrong with giving thanks to God for a few less abortions. Give Him the glory, but don't be a fool in thinking it signals any kind of favor on America. The vast majority of believers in the US do not embrace the Covenant in the first place. Because of this, they have no clue what God is actually doing in our country. They may believe they know, but they are wrong. He reveals His plans only within a Covenant relationship. That Supreme Court decision actually doesn't mean much, in that it does not reflect on the Covenant.
This is why Jesus avoided political activity in Israel. Their political situation was no longer under the Covenant of Moses. They had abandoned it a long time before. John the Baptist came to call them back to the Covenant, and very few people took up that offer. Jesus came to close the Covenant of Moses because it was finished. The divine purpose in the Covenant of Moses was translated over to the Covenant of the Messiah.
In theory, a human political entity could engage the Covenant of the Messiah via the Code of Noah. Do you see any evidence of that anywhere on this earth? You most certainly do not see it here in the US. All human activity outside of the Code of Noah is just random human futility. Solomon said it best: All human endeavor is vanity, barring pursuit of the Lord's divine favor. You get that favor by consciously and voluntarily embracing the applicable Covenant. Under the Covenant, God does mighty miracles with consistency and predictability. Outside the Covenant, don't expect much.
Again, the recent Supreme Court decisions are meaningless; they are vanity. A significant shift in political policy is just more vanity. Don't be fooled. When God is working, hearts change. When the shift in things does not reflect a change in hearts, it's the work of Satan, regardless how you might personally benefit. Satan is bound by the Covenant. The more you embrace the Covenant, the less grip he has no you, and the more he has to accommodate God's work in your life.
And the Devil will most certainly work harder to recapture your soul by deception, by drawing you outside the Covenant boundaries. When your conscience is clear by your convictions, all suffering and sorrow is just a lie from the Devil, trying to make you care about this world.
