Some of you didn't get the message.
So far as I can tell, it's peculiar to the Germanic people of northern Europe. We have this false mythology about all humans being one big happy family. It's in our genes to ignore the message of the Tower of Babel.
That narrative in Genesis 11:1-9 ends with God dispersing humanity across the globe as thousands of little tribes who were culturally and socially isolated from each other. That's how God requires us to live as humans on this fallen earth. Cosmopolitanism is a sin. Trying to unite disparate peoples is a blatant rejection of God's will. This requirement became a part of the Code of Noah. Any attempt to build an empire is doomed. God will always crush human political dreams in the end. Only Satan inspires men to build empires and civilizations.
The notion that you as an American have some vested interest in the life of random people somewhere in the USA is from Satan. America was a thing at one point, but only so long as the nation was small in number. A good clue is when people start speaking with an accent that was different from those in another place. That's the Tower of Babel effect. When people start speaking differently and living differently, they are a different nation as far as God is concerned.
The only way you can overcome that effect is if you get directly, physically involved in their lives. If you did not touch them, then you cannot claim to care about them. If you don't know their personalities and remember their faces, then you cannot claim that their life and death makes any difference to you. The only exception that God honors is when you exchange physical objects by some means. Do you recall how Apostle Paul was in Ephesus, and sent out anointed pieces of cloth that healed at long distance? That's because Paul had actually touched those pieces of cloth. God honored that is if Paul himself had touched those recipients.
God's Word points to that matter of personal involvement; it's called the Principle of Propinquity. Everything changes when two meet in time and space. God's power works that way. Stop and think: When Jesus healed the centurion's servant long distance, the Syro-Phoenician woman's daughter, the Capernaum official's son, it was the propinquity of someone close to the victim who connected them to Jesus. Those people were at least temporarily under Jesus' covenant dominion. They submitted and supplicated Him as Lord.
The laying on of hands is not just a ritual, but it's not likely you have a proper understanding of how it works. It's not the transfer of power, but a matter of extending dominion. Spiritual authority -- dominion -- acts personally. The whole Law of God is personal in nature. It rests on having some very literal physical connection. Without that personal touch, you cannot exercise dominion, and thus cannot pretend to offer spiritual covering.
You have no dominion over the children shot in that Uvalde classroom. You cannot claim any interest at all over the children lost at that daycare inside the Murrah Building. God will not honor your attempts to provide spiritual covering for anyone who does not have a personal connection to you. And just so, you have no business trying to hold anyone accountable for causing their deaths. Only those on the scene can do that.
This sense of shock and horror, as if you were there and have suffered some kind of loss, is fake (see this post at Sigma Frame for more and watch for future posts there in the same vein). It's a lie from Satan. You cannot justify any emotional reaction at all. You only imagine that you care, but you cannot. Instead, you have this lie in your head that it should matter to you if some random woman on the other side of the USA aborts her unborn child. It is invalid in God's eyes for you to attempt to assert authority or care over the life of anyone you haven't met. Your sense of emotional investment is false.
I realize that a lot of people feel like they have a personal connection with someone over the Internet who takes the time to communicate individually. Be warned: It's not real in God's eyes until it registers in your convictions. He's the only one who can rule, and you will be the only one who can know what God says to you about it. Otherwise, any sense of connection is a lie. Look up the term "cathexis" -- it refers to an unwarranted and unhealthy sense of connection to something or someone. It's from the flesh, not from the Spirit.
This lie has been leveraged to make you feel accountable to people who have no involvement whatsoever in your life. No one on this earth has any authority to rule over any part of your daily existence unless they are related to you by blood, marriage, or covenant. A covenant requires personal contact. If some bureaucrat has no time or resources to deal with you in person, then God says their legal authority is false.
Yes, there are still consequences for failing to obey. That's not the point. An awful lot of people on this earth are exercising authority from Satan, not from God. From beginning to end, the US has never been a valid legal entity in God's eyes. It has always been a product of Satan's lies. Thus, in due time, it will collapse once it has served His inscrutable purpose. In terms of things happening in this fallen existence, He takes no personal interest in anything or anyone who is not under His Covenant. All of it is under Satan's authority. As far as God is concerned, it's just a matter of Satan herding cattle for slaughter.
You don't need to hear about tragedies around the world. If you do learn about them, you need to pass that news through the filter of the Covenant. There are certain intellectual advantages to learning about warfare through the words of someone who was there, but you can never really know how God will work through you in combat until you face it. The strange sensation of bullets passing close to you changes you, and you cannot share that effect with someone who hasn't been through it. Having a way with words in telling the story of that experience still does not bring that same change to another. Propinquity matters to God.
Just so, the tragedies you read about in the news should not provoke a strong reaction. If you aren't connected to the people involved, it's just an intellectual curiosity. It cannot touch you, though Satan would love to bring you under stress about it. What God allows Satan to do to random people is not necessarily what God will allow to happen to His Covenant people. Even if it does, His covering is over you, and it will turn out differently.
All the human scolding in the world cannot make you accountable for something God didn't write in your heart. Don't let Satan use his minions to manipulate you. Let the Lord speak to you in your convictions and let the rest be just a matter of flesh to you.
