So, I teach an alternative approach to faith itself. There are plenty of things I really dislike about the mainstream Christian religion, but that's not my primary point here. I know that the only way to change what's happening on the ground is to change the fundamental assumptions about faith. Sure, if you asked me, I could suggest some specifics about come religious practices and institutions, but it's not mine to decide such things. I don't want to create a new denomination. If I can persuade people to reconsider what faith means, the changes will be inevitable, and they'll match the real needs of the people.
On top of that, I'm utterly convinced God has no interest in reforming the mainstream Christian religion. My prophetic position is that He's going to crush it. It's going to come in a series of blows until the final end of civilization itself. I figure we've got no more than 25 years. It's not the end of the world, but the end of the world we know. It will be a major reset like the Flood of Noah.
I cannot estimate who or what will survive. There are broad general guidelines: Pick a cave at high elevation away from the ocean shores, and away from known volcanic zones. Prepare to do without any electricity or electronics; they will all be fried. Prepare various ways to replace critical life support functions with manual means. Good luck.
My commission from God is to prepare for the survival of faith. As long as there is life on this planet, the Lord will not allow His witness to be silenced, and part of that is His call to His servants to pray and consider how faith is kept alive in the hearts of people. How do we make the Covenant secure in our lives, so that it outlives us?
This is not the kind of thing you do through organization and programming, as commonly conceived by most Christians. This is something that must transcend human thoughts and reason. It has to be a divine power that guides people to faith choices within the given context. Thus, I stress the power of convictions, and the habit of relying on them to shape your response to anything at all. In less that 25 years, the context will be shattered in every way possible, and people of faith must be prepared for the unimaginable.
Thus, I emphasize faith itself, something that transcends all context. The current mainstream of religion is deeply compromised with the context. There is no significant effort to discuss the roots of faith and how it should work. The deep entanglement of western orientation is our biggest single problem, because it militates against any of the underlying changes necessary for religion to look like what's in the Bible. We can justly say that faith is excluded by false western assumptions. We need to tear it all down conceptually before God destroys it with literal fire from the sky.
We want to restore genuine obedience to Christ. Paul uses martial language to describe this task:
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NASB 1977)
