Weirdness Online

12 November 2022

This week has been very strange. In my personal experience, it feels like someone put everything in suspend mode. The stuff I normally read for news has been pretty bland; the fiery political rhetoric was mostly absent.

I suppose for most mouthy activist types, everyone is waiting breathlessly to see how some of the final vote tallies come out. Isn't it sad that so many people live their lives as if God Himself could not win in an election? Yes, there's something going on. I realize that there has been the usual cheating, but I'm talking about something else. What's going on is that God is warning everyone that there will no saving the government for either side. Since neither party has sufficient dominance, you need to realize that whatever good might come to us, it won't come from that direction.

There's other weird stuff going on, as well. I've had a lot of emails bounced back from a couple of regular readers who tend to comment from time to time. I can't tell if their service is rejecting traffic from Proton Mail or if their servers are simply down. The headers I get back are inconsistent, suggesting there's some kind of interference in between.

If you've sent a message to me and gotten no response, trying letting me know about it at my old gmail address (catacombrez@gmail.com).

You remember that hullabaloo about a disinformation office being created as part of DHS back in the spring? After about three weeks, the backlash was severe enough that they shut it down. Actually, it was simply moved to another office within DHS. The project is still alive; the US government intends to start ruling on what is and isn't valid information for sharing on the Internet.

The censorship is coming from all angles. Someone with limited access to the business elite says there was a conference in Europe a while back, a meeting of some big global business CEOs. One of the things that came out of that meeting was that any big business that does not promote ESG (environmental, social and government -- sustainability crap) investment policies will lose access to banking and insurance services. It's not enough to be neutral and stay out of the way; they are demanding full-throttle conformity. This is going to trickle down into successively lower levels of the western economies.

That big project I was hoping to work with has stalled out for now. Given the situation, it may never get started, but we are planning on pushing ahead until we simply cannot. Later this week I'm hoping to zip up this blog so that anyone who thinks my blather is worth the trouble can download the whole site in one compressed file for their own archives. Then I'll update it from time to time until censorship cuts me off.

One way or another, the saints of God will tribulate.
