Everything that the Radix Fidem blog said about the old Catacomb Resident Blog is true. It was partly intended to be a tripwire to see what kind of reaction we might get with a strongly worded message. I pushed some buttons to see what would happen. We got a response, and that response made it necessary to shut down the old blog.
You shouldn't expect as much social and political commentary. It's not gone, just receiving less emphasis. The condemnation of sin hasn't changed, but we've covered the basics. There's no sense flogging it endlessly. This is not a political blog, but a faith blog.
So, the underlying message still matters, the Radix Fidem way of faith. I'm not working alone here. We still have a mandate from God to present that message. It will of necessity grate on the nerves of some folks, but there's no intention of taking anything away from anyone. It's obvious that the Radix Fidem way is not mainstream and is not for everyone. There's no campaign or crusade to break down what exists, only to open the door for those who sense God has something different for them.
We are going to challenge the assumptions behind the mainstream approach to Christian religion. And we realize we will be just one more voice out of millions already doing that. We'll trust God to be our publicist, and that trust is what led us to this platform.
For those of you still longing for the old Catacomb Resident Blog, you can get your copy of the zipped archive here [link doesn't work]. It will decompress to a copy of the entire website. The restrictions of a plain HTML site were important to the original project. Now, it's time to open up to more interaction.
