There is only one way God will get directly involved in the human political sphere: through a covenant people who keep an otherworldly focus on pleasing Him. All the normal human goals go out the window. The only goal that matters is using the human situation to bring Him glory. The human costs never enter into the equation, except as a purely tactical consideration.
On the one hand, God's prophets warned Israel repeatedly that they were losing that critical focus on divine glory. They kept seeking a human agenda, refusing to accept the destiny God chose for them. On the other hand, God also said that, if He were to work through any other nation of people, it was certain that things would turn out different. Israel was uniquely difficult of all nations on the earth. But by the same token, they were uniquely qualified to be granted this glorious opportunity.
It's the paradox of our fallen condition. The strength to do it right comes with the weaknesses to also do it wrong. Israel as a people were at the extremity of human potential either way. This is why, after failing to the point God could no longer use them, they have become Satan's favorite. It's not hard to grasp that their position in human history was a one-time deal.
The honest truth is that any Gentile nation, by any definition of "nation", is not as highly qualified. Paul says as much in the early chapters of Romans. Israel had a unique advantage in that God built that nation by hand specifically for the purpose of revealing Him and His requirements for restoring access to Eden. Even today, ethnic Jews who truly come to Christ will have advantages over Gentile Christians. It's their home ground.
The Final Covenant is Christ. There will be nothing new offered beyond that to any human or collection of humans. This is our only chance before His Return. It's just barely possible that we could surrender so completely to the Covenant that God would pull together a genuine covenant nation. It's just barely possible that we could see a genuine Christian nation based on the Covenant.
What makes the Jews so special? They have a fundamentally different society internally. Everything they try to prod Gentiles into doing is quite different from what they require for themselves. They are tribal, and where they are most effective, they are also feudal in a peculiar way. No human agency can long oppose their sneaky infiltration and seizing background control. The only way anyone resisted them in the past was because the resistance was feudal and tribal.
As you know, I contend that a truly Christian nation would not happen without following substantially the Ancient Near Eastern tribal feudal structure that characterized ancient Israel and every New Testament church in the Bible. God will not work with any other system or form of government. And the truth is that, while He may be working in churches today, He is not working through them as He did those in the New Testament.
The fundamental issue is that the tribal feudal extended family setting is the only place where spiritual dynamics can manifest strongly enough to see what churches are for in the first place. The particular needs we have as fallen humans cannot be clearly seen and addressed any other way. The whole point is fighting the demons in your own soul, and no other setting offers the miraculous powers God promised we could exercise over them. The demons themselves are bound by that system; it's how they operate internally.
Creation is inherently feudal and tribal. We have no hope of discovering just how far God will invest Himself into our lives without that approach. This is the vision we need to accomplish anything that matters. Let the Spirit of God witness to you the truth of this. Find it in your convictions; otherwise, I am just splattering electrons on a screen.
It's not that you must withdraw from every other form of human association; that's not even possible. Rather, you cannot invest yourself fully into the other ways humans operate. All those other ways of doing things, and the goals they espouse, are just various situations we infiltrate for Christ's glory. They are all provisional commitments on a much lower level.
The Scripture uses the term "this world" in reference to an artificial construct. It's the aggregate presence of mortal humans who were never supposed to be mortal. It's all the things they construct in pursuit of blind goals, seeking to seize control over something they can never own. They constitute an alien presence in Creation. This is my Father's world, but they are here until He decides to close the time-space bubble in which this world exists. Unlike Jews, we are not conquering this ephemeral world. We are conquering hearts. We are joining ourselves and anyone we can influence to a spiritual kingdom that is not of this world. We are emissaries of an alien nation of souls, not bodies.
Restoring the Covenant path to this world has to start somewhere. Will it be you? Even if you stand alone, it can work. Will you accept the challenge? It's not a question of whether you can; the only question is whether you will aspire to it. God alone can make things happen, whether inside or outside of you. He is the sole source of the requisite desire, but you get to choose whether you will embrace it.
It's called "faith". You already have it, so the only question is whether you will exercise it.
