Heavenly Politics

18 August 2023

Reminder: Jehovah no longer keeps one nation as His People. He now takes His Elect from all nations and holds them together in a spiritual kingdom that is not subject to any of the divine council, just Him alone. Meanwhile, all human governments are under various members of His divine council.

He appointed His divine council before creating the world and humanity. Some of them have taken up opposition to His agenda. We have no idea what's really going on, and could not understand if we did know. Rather, we are permitted glimpses through parables. We are granted notions of what goes on in God's courts through symbolism and figures of speech that only approximate the ultimate reality that we cannot comprehend.

Parables, symbols and figures of speech provide just enough understanding for us to act; nothing more. We can never capture the ontology in our human form.

Some of the divine councilors are cooperating with God, but they have free will and apparently a significant portion are allied together in opposition to God's plans for us and the rest of Creation. The only clue we have is that at least one of them suffers from a personal ambition for a status closer to God's position. At any rate, they object to God's agenda. Thus, many human governments are guided by spirit beings that are deceiving the people about moral and spiritual reality. These councilors use varying strategies to get what they want from human governments, provoking them to oppose God's Word.

The biggest problem is the one often referred to as our Enemy, the one we think of as the Devil. He's the one who tempted Jesus in the Wilderness and rules the Jewish nation. Don't think of it as ruling with an iron hand, but one who masquerades as the God they once knew, whose covenant they abandoned. They turned from Jehovah to following the Devil. He seduced them with all kinds of temptations until they completely lost track. They no longer recognize Jehovah for who He really is.

For all intents and purposes, the Devil is the leader of the opposition members of the divine council. He has a thing for us as followers of Jesus. He keeps trying to deceive us into following his false agenda. His gang generally use this means to disrupt Jehovah's plans.

Our only protection is the Covenant. So long as we are walking faithfully by the Covenant, the opposition's authority over us is quite limited. The Kingdom of Heaven trumps all lesser realms. Their authority is not totally cut off; we are in this world. But Jehovah refuses to let them do much with us, as long as we stay under His covering. About the worst that could happen would be rather like Job, but that would be exceedingly rare. His story is in the Bible as an extreme example.

But that narrative gives us an image of how the Devil and his allies operate. They keep seeking advantages, but cannot transgress Jehovah's restrictions. His Son is right there, playing the role of our Advocate in these negotiations. We get another glimpse in Daniel, where the angel tells him about some difficulties he had in bringing Daniel the message from God. The divine rulers of other nations outrank the angels, so apparently it can get pretty hairy.

At that level, America is ruled by some of the Devil's allies. It's not just one councilor, but several cooperating together in ruling over several countries the same way. As I previously noted, they rule over several major human influences besides government. The US government has never actually been "under God" despite the slogans. It's been under a team of false gods, councilors who portray themselves as various types of deities.

There is no useful distinction between the will of government officials and the will of this opposition alliance in Heaven. What we can distinguish is that the promises these false gods make are bogus. They cannot deliver; only Jehovah can do that, and only through the Covenant. Nonetheless, these imposters keep offering all manner of covenants, and promoting false understandings of how Creation operates.

Thus, for example, the globalist agenda is nonsense. It seems plausible to its human advocates; they have faith in it. But at some point is must fail. It's all built on lies. The difficulty is discerning what part of their agenda will fail, because if it were not at least partly based on truth, humans wouldn't believe it. That's how the councilors deceive -- they tell half-truths.

Only Jehovah will tell you the unalloyed truth. And He tells only those who listen to Him, and then, only through the Covenant. You don't get a reliable accurate word any other way. You can still guess usefully, but you cannot get a sure word from the Lord outside of His Covenant. Even then, it's only what God wants you to know.

And what He wants you to know is never a matter of your curiosity, but what you need to serve His agenda. His agenda is spiritual and moral in nature. It doesn't exclude violence between humans, but it does not depend on violence. The most important thing we can know about His agenda is that it's all about our faith in Him.

And faith in Him is not a human thing; it's a miracle working through humans. God no long has a human nation on this earth. There is no basis for political activity "in His name" because He's not directly interested in political outcomes. Regardless of what humans do, He's going to carry out His agenda to bring His Elect Home with Him in Eternity. Dying here is something we all must face in order to be included in His household.

Now maybe some of you will understand why killing a bunch of evil globalists isn't going to solve any problems. The most you can hope for is maybe some vengeance, and that's not yours to take. Your motives must be focused on something else in order to understand God's agenda. We must learn to see past the limited human activities and comprehend Jehovah's spiritual vision. The only time you have leverage to offer any violence is when someone transgresses your feudal domain granted by God.

Your feudal domain means nothing outside of the Covenant. There is no covenant nation any more, so political violence has no meaning to us. So far as I know, there is not even a single genuine covenant community out there. You have no authority to execute God's justice on anyone who doesn't transgress your covenant domain granted by God. You really must learn where your boundaries are, and then your convictions will tell you how to defend them.

You need never justify actions taken in faith. Faith is quite unreasonable at times, so don't imagine you'll be able to explain it. Nobody is going to believe our story unless the Lord moves them. The greatest danger you face is just how much your fleshly nature is an ally of the Devil.
