Ethnic Fallen Nature

21 August 2023

This bears repeating: The fear of being called racist, antisemite, un-American, etc. is a false fear of the Devil. Whatever it is people mean by those terms does not refer to sin. Those things do not defile you in His Presence. That scolding virtually always comes from enemies of the Covenant.

When the opposition members of God's divine council began raising up giants, was it "racism" for His people to have a passion for killing them? Then God is the racist, because only by His command did they target such beings.

We already know that "antisemite" is simply a code word for people Jews don't like. More to the point, an antisemite is someone who dares to point out what their own Messiah said about Jewish leadership. It's not about ordinary Jewish people, but the Jewish ethnic agenda to rule the world. It's noted in the Gospels.

And the term "American" mostly refers to a pagan culture. It hijacks some terminology from English translations of Scripture in order to make a false claim of being Christian. However, the entire orientation is materialistic and worships human accomplishment.

Have you not read 1 Corinthians 3? In it, Paul slams the emphasis on what humans can accomplish, and how it defiles the covenant body of Christ. Paul wrote in several of his letters to warn believers that they must denounce their human identity, nail the flesh to the Cross. That includes renouncing your ethnic background.

Let's make this clear: Without the Holy Spirit, you cannot do that. A purely psychological conversion is possible, but it cannot change your nature from a fallen mortal to a spiritual child of God. Most evangelism aims wholly at psychological conversion alone. Far, far too many believers are merely psychological converts. This is wholly independent of any actual spiritual birth. It's so crazy that a great many people who have experience spiritual birth still operate entirely as psychological converts. Their divine natures are still locked up behind the veil of mere fleshly conversion.

I do not promote my human fleshly white identity as anything but a problem. I discuss it as realistically as I can so that my readers can assess the dangers of the flesh. It weighs down my spiritual nature, and I keep trying to nail my whiteness to the Cross. But until the day I die, I will be saddled with this beast -- and it's a nasty one.

Saying that has nothing to do with the current trend of antiwhite racism. Their complaints do not reflect biblical values. If it were from Scripture, they'd be denouncing their own fleshly ethnic identity, as well.

In order to come together in the Spirit of Christ, all that human crap must die. We must denounce and renounce our fleshly natures totally, and become new creatures with no human ethnic identity at all. This was Paul's answer to the conflict between Jewish and Gentile Christians. Jews had no problem with Gentiles renouncing their fleshly pagan ways, but Jews choked on the idea that being Jewish offered no spiritual advantage at all. The identity of Israel was not the same as being Jewish. Jews were not God's people. John the Baptist warned them:

But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "You offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Therefore produce fruit that proves your repentance, and don't think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones! Even now the ax is laid at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 3:7-10 NET)

Your DNA has no bearing on the question. It's your spiritual DNA that matters.

We are each required to recognize the flaws inherent in our fleshly natures, and that includes setting a constant watch over the peculiar nastiness of our individual ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Everything mankind does outside of the Covenant is filthy rags. Yes, openly profess that you are what you are in the flesh, but don't be proud of it. Be ashamed at how your fleshly nature defiles the sweet gifts of God in your life.

Given all of that, we note that Paul says there is one small advantage for Jews, but only if they submit to Jesus as their Messiah. In Romans 3, Paul makes the point that Jewish people have a cultural instinct for recognizing God's truth, but then he warns they have often fought that instinct. What he refers to is that they have an ethnic cultural background in walking by their convictions, but it's matched by a potent fleshly instinct for self-worship. They know how to prostrate themselves humbly before the Lord, but seem to hate doing it.

The Gentile disadvantage is that the whole thing is foreign to us. Thus, we must strive with all our might to claim the ancient Hebrew heritage of faith that Jews rejected. Jehovah built that heritage as the one proper setting for revelation. He didn't just choose it from what was available. He led the Patriarchs through great struggles, passing them through the fire of tribulation in Egypt and in the Exodus. In the process, He sent Moses to school in Egypt's pharaonic court, and then in Jethro's far humbler wilderness tents, to ensure that His revelation on Mount Sinai would come across as He intended.

Moses was made the right man. Paul openly admitted that his training perverted his viewpoint, and it required him to renounce that viewpoint in order to follow Christ. Jesus was Himself the walking, talking ultimate truth of God.

Recognize the reality of how the fleshly nature works. Don't hide from the nastiness of our various ethnic backgrounds, but renounce them openly and walk in Christ. Only His Holy Spirit can do this in us; we cannot do it ourselves. The Covenant changes everything.
