Witness to Justice

30 September 2023

The issue was never killing in itself. It was always a matter of whether the killing was justified. A simple matter of competition for resources, trying to feed your own family, would be a justification, if your competitors are willing to fight for it. Protecting your tribe's interests always justified violence against outsiders.

There will never be enough resources for humans. Fallen humans will always want more. The underlying scarcity of resources is built into mortality itself. The Fall placed us among animals as simply smarter than most of the other animals. But we are fallen and don't belong here, so the ground produces thorns and thistles and we are obliged to sweat for our share of resources as a part of the natural world. This is all a part of the Curse of the Fall.

Among the animals, we are also the most social creatures. We are wired for a tribal social structure. We must face the task of resource competition as groups, tribes, and nations. The Bible lays out a standard of human warfare based on a just competition between tribes for resources. Warfare is typically a matter of that competition; it is not possible for there to be no nations. The only question is how we form nations.

And then, the question of keeping justice within the nation becomes a question God settled in the Code of Noah. The primary provision of that covenant as recorded in Genesis 9 refers to dealing with internal threats to the tribe. It has nothing to do with violence between tribes contesting resources. Violence within the tribe and outside the tribe is two entirely different questions.

For a distinct period of time, the Lord did have His own nation. He placed them under a covenant that gave them priority over other nations. Whatever was necessary for His covenant to prosper, for His reputation to remain high, He provided for their needs. The prophets tell us it was relatively luxurious, but only as long as they were faithful to that covenant. As we all know, they were not. Eventually that covenant was closed at the Cross. Today, there is no nation God favors above the others, as nations. Rather, He favors His people as salt sprinkled throughout the nations.

Still, God insists that there will be nations, and assigns what they can effectively control and keep (Deuteronomy 32:8; Acts 17:26). But it is not simply fixed boundaries as humans recognize them. Rather, in effect, He also sets areas of conflict. Some rivalries will remain until Jesus returns, or until one or more nations involved have been wiped away. It all has to do with His greater plans that we cannot possibly know.

Now that His people on earth are no longer a nation, it changes how we conduct ourselves among the nations. It's not that we cannot participate in what the nations do, but that we have no particular investment in the outcomes. Our interest is how we can glorify our Lord within the things we do or don't do. We are called to serve Him, but can be on loan to any national government as His representatives. The excellence with which we serve is about our Lord, not about any particular love for the human governments or policies and agendas.

There must always be nations. The Lord will not permit another blending of human pursuits into a single national agenda as it was in the first Babylon. The harder humans try to make a unified single government, the more severe His wrath on any such ambition. Much of what we see today is the result of that very conflict.

But it's not simply the US government trying to control the resources of the world. Rather, the US government is only the mask for some other endeavor. And it's more than just one endeavor. Indeed, it's a very confused mixture of endeavors, because the people involved refuse to see the mechanism of things God has revealed openly in His Word. They have rejected His boundaries, and so are wholly unable to benefit from His revelation on how it can be done.

As His people, we have been granted limited insight into the existence and operation of the elohim council in Heaven. We are allowed to understand enough to recognize that, while the ambitious globalists on the one hand are striving to take over the rule of humanity as a whole, the forces that have encouraged this agenda are riding on their backs, preparing to destroy the globalists and take over for themselves.

But even these hidden forces working behind the globalists are following the guidance of the elohim opposition, and their agenda is also a lie. It is clearly against the revealed limits of what God will allow. The warfare provoked by the globalists through their various strategies is already illegitimate. The plans of those hidden behind the globalists are even more objectionable, directly transgressing the command of God issued for the fall of Babylon.

By whatever means necessary, our Creator will restore the post-Tower order of things. There must be nations competing for limited resources. There can be no unification of humanity into one whole. It is utterly impossible for humans to manage things so that everyone has what they need to live. No one is smart enough to "adjust" the human population to match the resources of Earth, nor any imaginary resources out there in space.

That much is openly stated in Scripture. It doesn't require any special revelation to understand it, but it does require faith in the God who said these things.

We can see that the western globalists are trying to crush us all under a socialist nightmare state. At the same time, we can see that the financiers behind the globalists are trying to destroy the society and civilization that gave rise to globalism so as to take over in their stead. Russia is trying to finesse a balance between engagement of the West for the sake of national prosperity while disentangling as it all collapses. China is taking its own path with a similar aim. Russia and China are a lot closer to God's intentions than any part of the West.

How do you imagine this is going to turn out?

God promised in His Word that His Covenant people will be granted protection, but also special guidance by revelation. He always appoints prophets to His own people. Let us pray that He will grant those promises to us. Not simply to feed our curiosity, but we need guidance to know how we should conduct ourselves for His glory. How shall we provide a witness to His justice?

To have complete and total faith, as provided to us by Our Lord, in whatever befalls us no matter how intense or small, for the sole purpose of glorifying Our Creator and Redeemer should be our purpose in this life. Truth from the Word must always guide us, not the words of man. We are indeed fallen but He Who is greater than all things can give us the will and wisdom to know what to do and when. Now to that endeavor may we all strive.
