One of the greatest heresies is the often unspoken assumption that the gospel message depends on us. If we do not organize and expend all resources in missionary activity, then the world will die and go to Hell. Western church leadership (Big Eva in particular) imagines Christianity as a matter of human conquest. It is globalism with a religious twist.
Thus, there is this broad sense of necessity in building up a great nation because, if we don't do it, God can't get His message out. They won't say it that way, but they act that way. They claim it's just taking responsibility for the Great Commission, as if their mental image of that is the only possible valid manifestation.
This is why I sometimes stop and say: God doesn't need us. He wants to use us, but He could easily do it without us. In particular, He does not need the West, nor western churches, for His agenda. Have we forgotten that the first missionaries were Hebrews, not westerners? How many different ways did Paul say that their national identity as Israel was gone, taken from the physical nation of (hard-headed and hard-hearted) people, and granted to an empire of hearts?
Paul did not volunteer for the gospel. He was dragged kicking and screaming into it. And how did people embrace the message of Christ? "The Lord added to the church..." So, if something happened to you and I, the message of the Covenant would still be there, but coming from others. We aren't that special; the gospel will not die with us. We are fungible. God could just as easily choose some brown people in a Third World country to do this.
The only reason we are involved is because of His personal whims. That's it. There's nothing about us that makes us especially useful. So, if something happens to wipe us out, He will already have someone else carrying the fire.
I make no apology for pushing the Doctrine of Election. It's flatly stated in Romans 8 and 9, among other Scriptures. Get over it. The only way that could make you lazy is if you failed the gospel calling for this life. Indeed, I will openly confess that white folks are culturally inclined to be lazy without some false sense of urgency driving them. The reason that Decision Theology is so strong in the world today is that people from Northern European backgrounds are disinclined to work for someone else in the first place. We are the symbol of "I've got mine" and the rest of the world can go to Hell.
Unless you create a hysteria of fear, white people won't do anything. They have to fear the loss of their personal comfort.
It is inherent in the ethnic white identity that, unless there's something to plunder, we won't organize together for much of anything. We are better at taking than we are at making. As a corollary, the only other thing that will drive us is a sense of threat, that we must stand together and defend our plunder from others. Turning Christian religion into a global conquest is the only way most white people would bother.
What has characterized white Christian missions? We rode in on the same ships as those who sought to plunder natural resources. The honest truth is that missionaries were allowed to come along because the western style of Christian religion makes it easier to plunder the brown people.
Do you understand why we must eschew westernized churchianity? It will not save the world for Christ. It merely opens the world to plunder. You can bet the Chinese government understands this, which is why they oppress western style Christian churches. While there are a great many Chinese Christians who are held in the grip of faith, most of them operate under the same western assumptions about property and plunder, as if it were a native part of the gospel message. You don't hear much about indigenous Christian faith among the Chinese.
I'm not going to start down that path here, but I assure you that the there should be a different kind of Christian religion for the Chinese, something that fits better into their culture, not aping western middle-class culture, as if that were the definition of following Christ.
We need to seize back the term "Christian" and redefine it as simply following Christ, not some cultural regime that enables white folks to plunder the world. The West is dying, and the world won't miss us. Neither will Christ. Western Civilization didn't come from the gospel. It came from abandoning the gospel and asserting human political aims, but with Bible verses painted on the outside.

I knew there was a good reason why big eva missionaries annoyed me so much.
