Without any rhetorical explanation, you should understand how yesterday's post renders human political concerns rather insignificant. We have far more important issues than to worry about the next shift in political winds.
At the same time, it's not to say there is nothing about human politics to discuss. Rather, they become a mundane concern, instead of a panic-inducing roar that shakes the earth. It makes human politics a matter of "prepare to shape your witness to answer this".
Notice how the emphasis is on shaping the witness, not the political outcomes. For us, the only thing that matters is our gospel witness within the situation. We take the situation that was provided by God in His infinite wisdom. Changing the situation is in His hands, however He wishes to make things happen.
Broadly speaking, the situation for humans doesn't change much with elections. Some particular issues may shift around, but the underlying drift remains undisturbed. If all of the candidates arise from the same pool of political activists, what difference could it make? The only way to actually change the political situation is to destroy the system and slaughter the ruling class.
And we are forbidden from leading such a thing, or even encouraging it. By the same token, we may be allowed to see it coming, anyway. But this is not a covenant nation, nor are there any covenant nations in this world. We cannot justify getting directly involved in the net human decision making process until there is such a nation.
Yes, we must tolerate what evil men do because, in the final analysis, God is in charge. He does not ask our advice or consent. What we need is a realistic assessment of where God and His divine council are steering things. Some of it will always surprise us, but there are generalities we can learn.
There is no genuine difference across the ruling class. It is composed of multiple teams competing for control. They have a vested interest in implementing ruling policy that favors their particular team. There is no functional difference between money and power for these people. The only thing that keeps them together is their class interests versus those of the little people. Teams and coalitions will come and go over time, but the existence of a ruling class that maintains its own unique common interests is a given. It morphs like anything else rooted in fallen human nature, but we can always tell the difference between them and us.
Given the nature of things, again broadly, the ruling class is generally short on talent. The will to rule is seldom blended with the capability to do it with finesse. Don't get me wrong; they do have some real geniuses. There will always be a tiny core of real talent, but a mass of incompetent lackeys who are allowed to imagine they are talented, and to imagine they are part of the ruling class. They will act like rulers, but the real rulers will not hesitate to throw them under the bus when the time comes. Genuinely brilliant people don't want to work for the ruling class.
The urge to rule is inherent in human nature, but it always appears in just a tiny few at any given time. How one or more manages to seize and exercise power is determined by culture. The question is the doorway through which one must pass to become powerful. You will discover that different cultures can overlap to produce the situation where we have multiple ruling classes who don't exactly compete for the same powers.
In our case today, we have one ruling cult that wears the Jewish identity as a mask. It's wrong to blithely refer to "the Jews" as the problem. That's just the false front of the real problem. What's behind that mask is the true "satanic cult" in the sense of the Unseen Realm mythology drawn from the ancient Hebrew viewpoint that we must use in following Christ. All the common western mythology about Satan is nonsense, as are various notions about what "satanic" really is.
Review: God has a staff of beings He created to serve in His courts in Heaven. From where we stand, they are like divine nobles to God's royalty. They are just short of His power and authority, but Scripture makes clear they are not in His class. He is the one true "Creator" (the real meaning of the title "Yahweh").
The Creator has His Son ("the Word") and His Spirit that He sends to be among humans. Our best understanding of His divine staff is quite limited. We are told in symbolic terms that one member of His staff once served as His Chief Bodyguard -- "Covering Cherub" (whatever that could mean). That one got demoted to His Chief Punisher, His "Left Hand" servant. That demotion came in connection with his opposition to some policy God held regarding humans. Thus, this high ranking servant played the role of Tempter in the Garden as part of his new role. His demotion included being generally confined to the realm created specifically for him in his rebellion. To this realm the fallen humans were also confined under his authority.
Things progressed in this world. At the Tower of Babel, God divided the human race into nations and subjected them to various members of His staff, which we are told is His divine council of elders ("elohim" in the plural sense). Sometime later, they began to fashion themselves as deities over these nations. Then, God proposed to build up a nation for Himself to rule via a covenant.
Eventually that nation rejected His agenda, and He shifted His covenant from that of a national covenant to a global covenant open to all humans, regardless of who ruled as their national "god". His former nation generally rejected that shift in covenant, so the authority over them defaulted to the one senior elohim who had been confined to this world before the Fall, known to us as the Devil, among other names. The Devil elevated this nation to preeminence in his realm. He has allies on the divine council of elders who rule over the nations of the world. The alliance is not uniform; there are variations in how each member participates.
In the matter of the Devil's own nation, it's not a question of the people, since they are individually free to respond to God's call. Rather, the issue is the Devil's authority resting on an office within his realm. This is The Cult, and their vestment of office is the Jewish identity. To be "Jewish" by any definition is to serve The Cult. This cult rules over certain aspects of our human existence. The Cult, in turn, rules by sponsoring and guiding other "nations" as a global ruling class, and these nations compete for more mundane rewards. Most of them have no idea they are ruled by The Cult.
To participate directly in the business of human politics is to defile ourselves. There's any number of ways we can infiltrate without getting ourselves dirty, but our goals are eternal in nature, not tied to anything the Devil and his allies on the divine council control. It's a fine line at times, almost an art form, to get involved enough to have a witness, but not involved enough to come under their power.
All human identities fall under the authority of one council member or another. While we can recognize the meaning of our various fleshly identities, there is a fundamental moral sense in which we denounce all of them in our souls. We cease being anything that gives those false gods leverage over us. If we are following Christ, then those other things are nailed to the Cross as part of the fleshly nature. The symbolism of Christ's reign calls for binding our fleshly existence under His political rules: a covenant of tribal feudalism. It's what a church is supposed to be, a covenant household. A church body is the full extent of our involvement in politics. The only thing we can applaud in this world is any weakening of human power that interferes with our gospel covenant life.
As a general statement: We don't do politics, but we certainly understand how human political wrangling works. We can back off and read analyses such as this one and realize how this could guide the preparation of our witness.
