Let's have a little realism, and reject the propaganda about what's going on right now.
One of the biggest threats to life in the US today is the invasion at the borders. Here's the problem: The government refuses to defend the border. Even state governments like Texas are doing it wrong. Putting out concertina wire is not a solution.
Do you understand what concertina wire was designed for? It was never meant to actually stop the enemy coming at you. It was designed to slow them down so you could shoot them. If you don't shoot them, then all you've done is oblige them to make holes for their convenience. That's how it is with any kind of fortification. Nothing is going to stop them forever; all barriers eventually succumb to human efforts to cross. The defensive activity on the Texas border is for show.
An invasion is an existential threat. The system here cannot possibly absorb these people. They will suffer want, and they will not be denied. So, because they are not shot at the border, they will end up being shot by citizens defending themselves and their property. That is, they'll be shot in those places where defense is legal, or where laws cannot prevent defense. Sometimes they'll be shot by various security and law enforcement agents, but that's a pretty small portion.
These are low trust people invading an ostensibly high trust society. They don't belong here; the vast majority cannot even comprehend a high trust social structure, except as easy pickings. They aren't particularly evil people, just completely out of place. Our society and laws are not prepared to deal with them. They've been here in small numbers for a long time, but this current surge is tipping the balance into chaos.
These invaders already have organizations to bring them together so that their raiding is more effective. Keep in mind: Selling illegal drugs is a form of raiding, wherein the victims surrender their property for an inducement. It is not valid commerce, since the price is destruction of the victims' lives. The same goes with any other vice; it is raiding on different terms. The plunder feeds the organizations ("gangs") that make the invaders effective in conquering their enemy (Americans).
Unless you are in a position to see the corruption gangs provoke in the population, the single biggest manifestation of this invasion that you will see is a rise in petty property crime. Even those invaders who do not organize into gangs will be forced to steal to survive, and the whole breakdown of social trust and normal commerce will, in turn, compel the native born to steal.
Don't expect anyone to mount an effective defense against this invasion. It is sponsored by the ruling elite. All the various means of publication insist that this is not an invasion, and that treating it as one is a crime. Organizing for a proper defense from invasion would be stiffly squelched by the authorities. Only state governments are big enough to get away with a valid response, but the feds will attempt to shut that down.
This will be a major cause provoking the coming civil war in the US.
Don't buy into the nonsense the migrants are simply trying to find a better life. The migrants are blind; this is not the way to do that. The only way to help the poor in other countries is to (1) set them free from economic invasion from the West and (2) give them a high trust culture. Without a high-trust culture, general material prosperity is simply not possible. Bringing their low-trust frame of reference here will destroy everything.
At least, that's the truth for a human level. God can prosper any community that obeys His Word, but it will not be a lot of prosperity. The point is that God's Word discourages materialism. While in theory it could happen anywhere and with any people, the probability of God's Word being established on a wide scale is roughly zero. The problem is human nature itself against the way God intends to build His Son's Kingdom among humans.
The kingdom building will never happen with any human nation, but across all human divisions, and only for the Elect. We have good reason to believe that the Damned always outnumber the Elect at any given point in human history. We aren't told why, and it's downright wrong to question God on that issue. We are wholly unable to understand the answer. All we can understand is our mission and what He says are appropriate expectations for that mission.
The world is going to hell and we can win only a few.

This border stuff is Keeping a Nation 101, basic stuff. The ways to protect a border that are well-established. Our government just refuses to do it. There's probably one or a few top reasons why, but it's definitely not "natural" to me.
