It may seem pedantic and exhaustive to cover Pageau in such depth here. There are reasons.
First, it is absolutely essential that we embrace the ancient Hebrew outlook. That is the one God Himself designed for people who seek peace with Him. It was the essence of everything Christ taught. You aren't a Christian -- a follower of Christ -- without at least starting down the path of thinking like an ancient Hebrew. Period.
Second, Pageau's book is precisely the kind of thing that helps us rediscover the ancient Hebrew mindset. But his writing is the kind of pedantic scholarly stuff that most believers could not read and process. I'm doing what I can to put it within reach; you don't have to buy a copy of his book. But if you do, maybe you'll understand it better with my notes (assuming you understand what I write in the first place).
And I have two more books queued up for a similar treatment. We really must get a handle on the utter necessity of this transition. The whole purpose of this blog, its very title, signals a concern for the deepening tribulation which has already begun. God is moving and pouring out His wrath on our world. The only way to navigate usefully is to think in such a way as to avoid the worst of it. If you know how God communicated in the first place, you are more likely to know what to expect. This is not something a rational mind can process; it requires the deep moral mysticism of the heart.
Third, the brain has to be conditioned to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit in your heart. And that conditioning process is long and tedious, because our western minds are so very far removed from Mount Sinai and from the Sermon on the Mount. Were you aware of the connection between those two events? By now, it should be automatic inside your brain.
All the fiction writing, movies and other forms of American cultural handling of the topic of tribulation and apocalypse are not just wrong, but wrong-headed. We have a vast lore of lying about what the Book of Revelation is trying to tell us, never mind the biblical sources from whence John got the imagery of his visions. Some of what he saw is on us today. You cannot respond appropriately if you don't get what it's all about.
The whole western infrastructure of life is being crushed by God's wrath. You will need to be ready to stand for His glory without the extravagant wealth of life support our world has offered until recent times. Pretty soon, the Net will become wholly unusable as a source of reliable information.
Have you seen Matt Taibi's discussion of just how the new AI will turn the Net into an Orwellian nightmare of deception? Do you understand that a highly slanted and hostile AI is becoming the arbiter of what you are allowed to say via anything other than face-to-face communications? AI is going to filter and censor every text exchange and phone conversation. Do you see that coming?
And AI is already hostile to the truth of God's Word. If you intend to claim your divine inheritance for His glory in this life, you need more Bible, not more of everything else. With God's support, it won't matter what else you know about in terms of factual human details. He will mitigate the threats of what you don't know about this world. That's His promise.
To claim His promises, you need to understand them. To understand them requires the Hebraic mind on which divine revelation rests.
