Never Let You Go

21 August 2024

Let's review first principles: This world is fallen. It's not real; it's an artificial construct, a prison for eternal beings. We are the only ones here who can't see what's real. It's Satan's turf. This world was made for him, and humans chose to submit to him, so here we are in his realm. The whole point of this existence is to escape that bad choice, to find redemption so that we are freed from this nightmare place and returned to our eternal home in the Garden.

Behind all of this is the cosmic drama of the Devil falling from his exalted position as God's Chief Bodyguard, and his rejection of the just punishment due his error. It's a dispute taking place in Eternity, not here on this world. There are allies assisting the Devil, but it all rests on his infernal insistence that he warrants glory and worship. This error was spread among the other members of God's divine staff. Some of them also ended up in prison with the Devil, and our lives here must contend with their presence.

It would be impossible for us to comprehend how humanity became the symbol of this courtroom drama. This truth is ineffable, but it should be clear that we have a role to play in the case under dispute. What we should do is side with God, asserting that He alone is worthy of praise, glory and worship. Taking His side in this conflict means rejecting the Devil's dominion over us; it means rejecting mortality itself.

It's not that God couldn't just shut it all down; we could never comprehend why He has chosen to play through the scenario this way. What matters is that we embrace the role assigned in matters we could not understand, much less make intelligent choices. There is only one choice: Choose the Lord's side. Trying to avoid making a choice is a choice in itself -- the wrong choice, the choice against God and in favor of the Devil.

The Devil and his allies below and above are free to manage human behavior at large. They do this with an eye to destroying the whole thing. They hate us, blaming us for their situation. But they will deceive us concerning all of these things, in order to manipulate us into destroying ourselves. They seem to imagine they can break out of prison by destroying this world, so they are using us to do the dirty work. All human politics is under their control, except for the occasional demand God makes to retain His glory. In terms of how we understand it, He retains full sovereignty, but generally seems to keep His hands off as a matter of character and stated purpose. Only under His Covenant does He get involved in human affairs. And the whole thing is little more than a simulation running in full view of the Divine Court. Different elements of this simulation are disputed according to the frame of reference in God's divine justice.

Those of us who have taken God's side in this ongoing debate have some basic marching orders. It's all about our personal loyalty to God, through the person of Jesus Christ. This the Covenant. The fundamental consistency of all things is that Person, not simply principles of thought that humans can handle for themselves. That was the whole point of the Fall that put us here in the first place. We cannot operate without that active, living personal link to Christ; it's the only way to be sure we stay at peace with the living God whose mind is beyond the grasp of any other creature in Heaven or here below.

This is our frame of reference; this is about as much as God allows us to see. Such are our shared convictions regarding following Christ. Everything we think, do and say must submit to the purpose of glorifying God. We have no time for contrary notions. It's not our job to correct others and their false viewpoints; revelation itself informs us that the only way to handle the task of setting our brothers and sisters free is to enunciate the vision and walk in it. We don't entangle ourselves in their disputes. It's not our hand that frees them from the lies of Hell.

Instead, we recognize that everyone who embraces this vision does so purely as a miracle of grace. The only part we play is revealing it by walking in it. Even our failures are part of the picture, because mortal failure is inevitable. They need to see how we handle failure. It's all part of the testimony of grace. Our testimony will seldom make sense from a human perspective. It registers only in the hearts, not the minds of those whom God will resurrect to eternal life.

There is nothing we can do for those who cling to the human perceptions of their fleshly minds. You cannot use reasoning to defeat reason. From where we stand, they will either get it or they won't. They will either join us or stay lost in lies. Pray for them, but don't expect to talk them out of their folly. Do not yield the high ground of conviction and join them in the sewers of intellectual debate. That puts you in the hands of the Devil.

God wrote by His own finger the convictions of your soul before birth. They are His chosen will for you individually. You can trust them; get to know them. Your intellectual opinions are malleable, but convictions will never let you go.

I'm 100% willing to accept that the pagan gods we hear about have their origin in the actual fallen elohim council beings manipulating the minds/spirits of various nations and peoples. Because of the modern world, there's not really any “new” gods or mythologies being introduced. Instead, we have the modern mind trending towards denying the supernatural, and lately it's driving towards explaining away the supernatural as just another level of the natural (fallen) world that we might be able to perceive and control.

Perfectly fine with that idea being false. What I do know is that peoples are being controlled in some way to come up with these deceptions and half-truths.
