Stored in the Heart

24 September 2024

So, maybe you never knew this, but I like poetry. I've written some in the past, but it was not that engaging to me. For a very long time in my life, I often wondered if it was just that I liked the idea of reading it, because too much of what others recommended just wasn't quite what I had hoped.

That is, until I ran across this poet who seems to sense what is in my own heart more often than I thought possible. The author has sent me poems in emails that may never see the light of day anywhere else, but I've collected them in a document on my hard drive. To say "prolific" is an understatement.

This author's latest public output comes in the form of a booklet: A Day at the Beach. It's 52 poems, each based on a Bible passage. It's all very sharp and perceptive.

Because I received my copy as a gift, I can't tell you what it will cost to get your own, but I can tell you that if you email onegreaterthan@proton.me maybe you can find out. It's not as if she will get rich off of selling them, but you would likely be a lot richer in soul for having this collection. She has other collections previously published, and I keep them more in my heart than on my shelf.

And no, this is not some silly book deal I made with her. She had no idea I was going to post this. Hint: She's a reticent member of the Radix Fidem family.
