Endurance by Faith

12 October 2024

Do you understand that the confusion and unpredictable nature of current events is part of the torment? Brothers and sisters, "apocalypse" is not just a word we say lightly.

One of the biggest mistakes western church folks make is the assumption that "taking up your cross" doesn't actually include dying. They want a symbolic suffering that doesn't mean having to be without a car or entertainment streaming to their TVs. Folks, get real: When you take up the Cross, your life is forfeited.

Worse, a critical element in what Satan does is torment humans. The torment is part of the temptation. You have to resist his offers even when they are coercive. Over the next few years, genuine followers of Christ in His Covenant will find themselves homeless and starving -- right here in America.

I'll grant you that what's coming is a complicated picture. The US will fracture, and some locations will be worse for us than others. Even if there is no official secession from the Union, decentralization in effect is going to happen. Some states will themselves be split apart, even cities. Some parts of the country will be more tolerant of Covenant people; some parts will be hell. Pray and learn to manage the fracturing well; it's the nature of tribalism burned into human wiring.

We keep saying this: It's a good time to prepare for the worst. By this I refer chiefly to building up your faith and willingness to face whatever the Lord decides you will endure. He needs for some of us to carry that faith boldly into some awful situations to shine His glory. Some of us will pass away without notice; from a human orientation it will appear meaningless. Don't superimpose movie heroism onto this picture. It's for sure such mental conditioning is part of Satan's lies.

But in the midst of this, some of us will be appointed to manifest miracles never before seen or heard. Honestly, I believe that this is what a renewal of the Covenant is all about: It's the testimony of His revelation. It means harvesting covenant blessings. We must be ready for anything, ranging from random demise up to glorious prosperity. The latter means we are called to care for and carry others; that's part of our covenant norm.

If your convictions say so, do the material prepping. Do it with an eye to blessing others, as well, known or unknown. Testify of His mercy by preparing to be merciful. But make the biggest preparations in your hearts, because we simply cannot know all that's coming.

We will endure by faith a lot of crap most people won't handle very well. Set your expectations on the Cross.
