Finally! The full set of archives for this blog have been converted over to the original simple format. Yesterday I uploaded the last set of posts that remained from December 2023. From here on out, the entire archive is available as a single set in one location. Should you decide to go poking around, let me know if something fails to work as advertised.
Again, the reason I undertook this project was to reduce the threat of hacking, particularly at the hands of those with censorship in mind. I came under conviction that using WordPress was simply no longer tenable. We march at His command.
When the pillar of fire/smoke moves, the camp of God follows. The purpose of this blog has always been the Covenant, but the camp moves where God wishes. The ostensible purpose of this blog has been a prophetic warning of all the things in this world that seek to draw us away from the Covenant. The Covenant remains, but the threats and inducements drift with the winds of fashion.
As far as we are concerned, the threat to the Covenant message right now is censorship. In particular, it's online censorship and whatever goes with that. It's the package of what goes with it that has changed so very much in the last few years. It has always been the dream of tyrants have us all wired to some means of surveillance and control that would reduce their workload. Recent trends in technology have lurched toward that dream.
The very same Big Tech oligarchs supporting Trump's administration are the ones who are banking on him giving them free reign to implement a nightmare electronic surveillance state. I can't say whether Trump is consciously going along with this; I suspect that he simply doesn't care. I don't think he's invested in it, only taking advantage of the support so he can obtain what he really does want. Trump himself isn't that dangerous, but he can be steered by people who are.
I've said that something very dark and very big is behind his election. While I admit I still don't know too much about what that thing is, I'm pretty sure it includes this cabal of technology oligarchs working to implement an AI government system that requires surveillance/tracking of every detail of daily life for every human in the country.
In real practice, they can capture the majority of the population in their network. While they might prefer devices implanted in our bodies, the ubiquitous cellphone is already handling most of their goals. It is well nigh impossible to get a cellphone that doesn't come programmed with a very high level of tracking from multiple angles. The industry at large is trying to make "dumb phones" impossible to use. Nearly everything you do in life is increasingly relegated to apps on your smartphone.
Yesterday I was able to wash my laundry only because I have an app for that. The machines won't work without it. The VA is trying to nudge me into using their app for everything I do with them. Other government agencies are doing the same. A relatively new car requires an app to use all the features built into it. Your bank and all your money...
Are we there yet?
It was happening under the Democrats, too, but once it became pretty obvious Trump would win, a lot of Big Tech oligarchs stopped criticizing him and started riding his coattails. Now they will be in the Whitehouse pushing their policy goals as insiders. Many of these Big Tech oligarchs are also tight with the likes of the CIA, NSA, etc. And the surveillance-hungry enforcement/intel agencies are sooooooo happy.
Keep in mind that bureaucracy has a natural tendency for mission creep. To justify the agency's existence, it will try to seize authority over various aspects of our human existence, so that multiple agencies end up competing over enforcement powers. They will maintain their own guarded pool of information on citizens, and some of the agencies have actually planted agents inside of each other. What happens when Trump reduces some of the bureaucratic clutter and forces them to merge operations? Efficiency in oppression.
If there is any substance to our vision of deep, dark forces behind Trump, this convergence of surveillance and censorship is the most obvious identity to the Beast. It's the effort to tie that ubiquitous surveillance to our online activities already at work. I'm sure there are other elements we could name, but it seems to me this is the one thing that warrants the most attention right now. We who struggle to sound the prophetic warning will be identified for a million forms of electronic harassment through our devices, our apps, our bank accounts, our government services, etc. They don't have to send agents with special equipment; we are buying the equipment for them.
This is a good time to understand the strategy first, and then to discuss tactics. What will it take to bypass censorship and keep sharing the prophetic message of the Covenant?
