The discussion of tribulation is not a matter of what we expect, but how to face whatever the Lord is doing. I won’t tell you what to do. I’m not even going to tell you what’s coming, because I’m sure to be wrong about some of it, at least. Rather, I’m going to suggest to you a frame of mind that will keep you focused on the Kingdom of Heaven, while the kingdoms of earth come crashing down.
I’ve already admitted that I’m convinced the US government plans to mobilize resources and a significant portion of military personnel for war in the Middle East. Just one single indicator would be this hilarious but profane video. Still, it might not happen. It’s possible for unexpected events to derail those plans.
And even without going to war, our government has been trying to implement martial law, though they don’t call it that. But things could disrupt that, too. Rather, the bigger picture is that the global elite have decided that now is the time to push through all their evil plans for us. They aren’t more intelligent that the rest of us, just psychopathic about what they imagine they do understand. Lots of things could disrupt the current plans, but they are prepared to do anything necessary to gain the level of control that has always their real goal. Succeed or fail, it’s going to be very messy.
About that mindset thing: The first item you should have discarded long ago is any notion of having rights that should hinder these evil elite. They certainly don’t care about rights and laws; they simply want you to imagine you have rights as part of their manipulation game. You should have already embraced a political cynicism that expects atrocities from their hands.
The second issue is the expectation that we are in any position to hinder their plans. The biblical view is that God is the ultimate Lord of all things and the most you can possibly do is show up to do His will regardless of what that might be. The Bible is full of encouragements to bear up under the most unimaginable evil and stick with your testimony of God’s glory. You have no other reason to live.
If you would like a more intellectual perspective on things, you can start with this review of Iain McGilchrist’s writings on left and right brain operations.
[T]he brain’s left hemisphere is designed to help us ap-prehend — and thus manipulate — the world; the right hemisphere to com-prehend it — see it all for what it is. The problem is that the very brain mechanisms which succeed in simplifying the world so as to subject it to our control militate against a true understanding of it.
That will give you a clue as to why our Western Civilization is so relentlessly stupid about trying to control things that cannot be controlled. It’s part of why we have globalists in the first place.
As a man who operates by conviction as much as possible, I can share with you that I have dismissed any plans to obtain another motor vehicle in the foreseeable future. I’ll stick with my bicycle. Further, I’ve ordered a few accessories that I suspect will be in short supply during the coming conflicts, things I’ll need most when I can’t get them. For example, I have purchased replacement tires for my bike. Granted, you could estimate it’s because, during every war the US has engaged so far, tires have become one of the hardest things to get. But the real issue is that my convictions said that was an item to buy now, not wait until later.
That’s just an example. If you don’t have any convictions on such things, let me warn you immediately that you cannot trust the survival/prepper guides: Every one of them is selling something. Their livelihood today rests on conning you into buying something they are selling. They don’t really care a whit about whether you survive.
You should cultivate hearing from your convictions. They will offer the best match for your specific situation in serving the Kingdom of Heaven. That’s the voice of God already written in your soul.
Every human life is expendable. The elite think so because of their spite for us, but God says so because He wants us Home with Him as soon as feasible. We could not possibly understand what drives Him in His wider choices for the human race, but what we do know is that He loves us enough to sacrifice His Son for us.
