Back in the 1970s, a Christian college student from what was then Yugoslavia noted noted quite loudly that football was the American god. It seemed obvious then; these days it’s actually in the churches.
I’m not a fan of The WinePress news, so I don’t follow their site. However, I was alerted by a third party to this interesting story: Ohio Megachurch Performs Annual Super Bowl Themed Service. Pastor Punts Bible Across Stage Like Football. I’m sure this has generated a lot of traffic for their site; congratulations to them for the shock effects.
Crossroads Church in Cincinnati, Ohio shares a lot with the likes of Life Church and other branded religious franchises. They are simply an entertainment franchise with a vaguely religious theme, and they call it “church”.
The mask is off of professional sports. They are all a psychological/spiritual operation to fascinate, capture and distract people from reality. They’ve become another captured “system” to pace and lead the population into the schemes of the adversary. Sports are fine, I just reject the beast systems version that’s using them to their ends.
Ouch. Those videos are, as my daughter and son might say, “cringe.”
